Personal profile
He is an Assistant Professor of English at École polytechnique. He holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Cambridge and pursues interdisciplinary research at the intersection of literature and the sciences. His first monograph, Microscopy, Magnification and Modernist Fiction: Micro-Modernism from Hardy to Beckett, was published by Bloomsbury in 2025. His research focuses on modernism, the relationships between literature, science, and technology, and the reception of Marcel Proust in the English-speaking world.

Nineteenth-, twentieth-, and twenty-first-century literature, with a particular emphasis on modernism; literature and science; the environmental humanities; comparative literature; the history of the novel; and word and image studies.
Among the authors whose work interests him are John Ashbery, Samuel Beckett, Thomas Hardy, D. H. Lawrence, Gerald Murnane, Marcel Proust, and Virginia Woolf.
His next book project examines the reception and influence of Marcel Proust’s work in the English-speaking world.
