Résumé
The ionization probe used for monitoring the liquid argon purity in the H1 calorimeter was discussed. The detector was used to make detailed studies of the final states produced when 27.5 GeV electrons or positrons collided with 920 GeV protons. Results showed that the high sensitivity of the charge measurements lead to refined charge collection models.
