Résumé

This study presents our recent results about the Absolute/convective instabilities in the Batchelor vortex. This basic flow is a good approximation of slowly evolving trailing vortices. It is entirely described in an axial (x, r, θ) cylindrical coordinate system by the axial and azimuthal distributions U(r)=a+e^-r2, V(r)=0, W(r)=q[1−e^-r2]/r.
