Résumé

The substantial amount of frequency bandwidth available in the spectrum bands above 6 GHz has made millimeter-Wave technology a preferred candidate in the achievement of very high data rates for future generation (5G) communication systems. In this paper, large scale radio propagation parameters such as channel delay spread (DS) are investigated at 17 and 60 GHz in an urban outdoor environment. Measurements are conducted using a wideband channel sounder and azimuth-delay power profiles (ADPPs) and channel DS metrics are processed. The propagation channel characteristics at 17 and 60 GHz are compared through the computed ADPPs and antenna aperture impact on channel DS is mainly discussed.
