Résumé
The conditions that were required for efficient backward Thomson scattering were discussed. It was also showed that, how p-polarized ultraintense laser pulses interacting with sharp boundaries of overdense plasmas can produced such bunches, by using particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations. It was found that in the plasma, due to the self-intersection of electron trajectories, electron concentration was abruptly peaked. The result shows the promise of working with ultrashort tightly focused laser pulses from the millijoule to the joule level by applying maximal spatial and temporal gradients to laser-plasma interaction.
