abstract = "The minimization of the power consumption is a basic target for a terminal of the third generation communication system (3G). In this paper, we claim to minimize the power consumption in a CDMA2000 standard context. An adaptive RAKE receiver which adapts its parameters according to the channel conditions and the mobility was considered. The parameters such as the number of allocated fingers (Nf) as well as the length of the channel estimation window (Lf) were taken into account for to tradeoff between performance and power consumption.",
