Résumé
A two-step procedure was developed to prepare composite materials containing nanometer-sized metal particles (Ag, Au) homogeneously dispersed in sol-gel matrices. In the first step, irradiation with γ-rays from a 60Co source was used to initiate the growth of metal particles in a solution containing both metal ions and stabilizing multifunctional silanes ℐ(CH2)3Si(OR)3 (ℐ = H2N−, NCS−, …). In the second step, transparent and closed porosity xerogels with metal clusters grafted on the oxide network were prepared via hydrolysis-condensation of alkoxides. The nanocrystallites were characterized by transmission electron microscopy and optical spectroscopy.
