Résumé
The application of the reverse micelles technique on a coordination polymer leads to the formation of magnetic nanoparticles possessing a spin state around 130 intermediate between that of magnetic clusters and metallic particles. Adapting the chemical conditions may allow for the preparation of nanoparticles with a slightly larger size and thus a higher spin ground state. Such particles were ideal candidates to explore the phenomenon of the tunneling of the magnetization of a unique magnetic object which possesses a spin ground state higher than that of the magnetic clusters.
