Résumé
Recent theoretical predictions of the TeV-luminosity of SN 1006 under various scenarii are only a factor of 2 to 3 below the previously published H.E.S.S. upper limit, thus motivating further in-depth observations of this source. After analysing more than 100 hours of accumulated H.E.S.S. data a signal associated with the remnant of SN 1006 has finally been detected. The measured gamma-ray flux is of order 1% that detected from the Crab Nebula, consistent with the previously established H.E.S.S. upper limit. The new results and morphological comparisons with X-ray data on this source is presented at the conference.
