Résumé
Commercially available epoxy resins are extensively used as coatings, electronic materials, and adhesives; they find use in structural applications owing to their outstanding mechanical and electrical properties, including those of adhesion, chemical resistance, and minimal shrinkage after curing. Currently, several types of fluorine-containing epoxy resins have been developed and are being evaluated for practical uses. In this article, we present in-depth information on epoxy resins and fluorine systems including contemporary processing technologies of epoxy composites and recent advances in epoxy composite materials. Finally, we introduce new areas of application of epoxy resins in detail, such as in the biomedical, electronic, and other fields.
