Résumé
A new implementation of X-FEM is presented which aims to represent contact and friction along fault surfaces in models of sedimentary basin kinematics. The enrichment of the displacement field is adapted to arbitrary junction patterns between the faults. A mixed augmented Lagrangian method is employed to represent contact and friction, and the robustness of the convergence to an equilibrium solution is ensured by a proper set of the additional unknowns' discrete space. A P0 interpolation junction is in particular employed in the junction elements. A case example with a 3D extension domain demonstrates the potential for structural geology applications.
