Résumé

The 1st European Advanced Accelerator Concepts workshop (EAAC 2013) was the first workshop in a new series initiated by the European Network for Novel Accelerators (EuroNNAc). The goal was to bring together conventional and advanced accelerator physicists, RF sources and lasers, metallic and dielectric structures, plasmas, electrons, protons and ions. The work of the organizing committee and its supporting bodies culminated in the successful 1st EAAC workshop, taking place in Elba from June 2 to 7, 2013. There were 145 registered participants from 15 countries, representing 69 institutes. The EAAC 2013 was considered by all participants as a full success and has spawned new contacts, new ideas and the beginning of a community spirit that is so important in science as in life.
