Résumé
The second harmonic reflection on a film of chiral molecules introduced by magnetic dipolar contributions was studied using a 150 mW femtosecond Titane-Sapphire laser at 810 nm. The molecules studied have delocalized electrons that enhanced the second order hyperpolarizability, and an asymmetric carbon that allowed optical activity. An optically flat silica substrate was immersed in an ethanol solution of a pure enantiomer. The ultraviolet spectrum exhibited an absorption structure centered at 385 nm with a maximum density of 0.015.
