Résumé
The phase-locking of high harmonics and the influence of the focusing geometry on the generation of attosecond laser pulses were investigated. It was demonstrated that a good phase-locking can be robustly achieved through quantum path selection by spatially filtering the harmonic radiation. The shortest laser pulses were obtained by combining a spectral filtering of harmonics from the end of the plateau and the cutoff and a far field spatial fltering which selected a single electron quantum path contribution to the emission. The method can be applied for the study of both isolated pulses and pulse trains.
