Résumé
This chapter describes the traditional model of the industry commodity chain used by both academics and practitioners. It presents a case study providing new perspectives on the organization of the productive fabric and its management of knowledge and know-how. The case of1083, an iconic "Made in France" clothing brand, illustrates the new dynamics between customers and suppliers. The chapter considers new dynamics including the recreation of know-how, customer/supplier cooperation relationships and the driving role of the brand in transmitting new know-how to suppliers, which gives rise to an industrial ecosystem-type organization. The 1083 case study provides lessons on the orchestration of such an industrial organization, as a pioneer in the reconstruction of a traditional industry commodity chain. The coordination-cooperation dynamic, which contributes to the renewal of know-how, requires a certain leadership ability on the part of a leader or manager.
