Résumé
The purpose of this paper is to present a family of 3D-shell elements obtained assuming quadratic kinematics through the thickness, with a particular emphasis on the numerical locking phenomenon. Classical remedies - namely mixed interpolations - are used to avoid membrane and shear locking and we focus on the pinching locking which is specific to shell models with high order kinematics. A mixed interpolation scheme based on the interpolation of the pinching strain at the nodes is used and the efficiency of this strategy is assessed through numerical tests.
