Résumé

In this paper, we focus on resource management and QoS provisioning for UMTS systems. We base our work on an analytical model that we developed to obtain a CAC algorithm for the most commonly used receivers. We next extend this algorithm to manage priorities between real-time calls, transmitted over dedicated channels, and elastic calls, transmitted over common or shared ones. We finally propose a scheduling algorithm for the Downlink Shared Channel (DSCH) that divides the capacity between the simultaneous users following different policies : fair throughput, fair time share and maximum throughput scheduling.
