N2 - The motivation for this research work is the lack of a complete declarative method for representative spatiooral composition of objects in the current multimedia document standards and authoring tools. We define such a model which is based on a set of spatial and temporal relationships between actors in multimedia applications. Our work exploits existing approaches for spatial and temporal relationships. We extend these relationships in order to cover the specific requirements of multimedia applications and we integrate the results in a uniform framework for spatiooral composition representation.
