Résumé
This paper proposes a statistical dimensioning model for the uplink of a Narrow-Band (NB-IoT) network. The average behavior of the network is considered by assuming the sensors and the collectors are distributed according to a random Poisson Point Process that is marked by the channel randomness. The main objective of this paper is to establish a tradeoff between the energy consumption of the sensors, the allocated bandwidth at the collector and the density of the collectors in the network. We also show the impact of Single Input Multiple Output (SIMO) transmission in improving this tradeoff.
