Résumé
The thermal ageing behaviour of para-hydroxybenzene sulfonate doped polypyrrole is studied using positron annihilation spectroscopy. The conducting polymer is synthesized by a chemical oxidation process and aged at 140°C in air up to 48 days. The experimental results are explained in terms of positron trapping in the vicinity of active dopants (negatively charge) whose concentration is reduced and accompanied by a loss of conductivity after ageing.
