SVG checker

When developers write SVG documents, they are repeatedly confronted with problems of accessibility of their output (no display on some devices or players, differences in rendering, displaying text for accessibility uses). We have developed a toolkit useful for developers. The toolkit allows the developer to check the conformance of a file and to get advice about how to improve the compliance with a specific version of the standard (SVG 1.1 or SVG Tiny 1.2), compliance with a specific player and to add some textual descriptions for the most important parts of the drawing. Moreover, the toolkit can extract the drawing styles included in an SVG file and build three files: two stylesheet files and one SVG file using these styles. Users with visual impairments downloading the SVG file may then change the styles to adapt them to their eyesight.
