Résumé
An experimental study aimed at checking the validity of the Wiedemann-Franz (WF) law in a hole doped cuprate at optimal-doping concentration was presented. On recovering the normal state of Bi2+xSr2-xCuO 6+δ by the application of a strong magnetic field it was found that a thermal conductivity slightly larger than expected by the WF law existed. The study showed that the departure from the value expected by the WF law was slightly larger than the estimated experimental resolution. The in-plane conductivity was measured with a standard two-thermometers one-heater setup in the presence of a magnetic field applied along the c axis.
