Résumé

The ultrashort electron bunches generated in the forced laser wakefield (FLWF) regime were studied. Their use as high-energy injector for conventional accelerators and as short and bright x-ray source via the channelling effect and Thomson scattering were discussed. The temporal structure of these accelerated electrons was similar to the modulated laser envelope. The numerical simulation results show that the generated electron bunches have very short durations, less than 100 fs.
