onventional rectifiers are used primarily for the rectification of ac, RF, or microwave power into dc. Their major applications are concentrated in energy harvest ing (EH) and wireless power transfer (WPT) [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. Rectifiers can be used as stand-alone components or in combination with complementary energy sources, such as solar or wind. They can also be used beyond simple power conversion. Backscattering and simultaneous wire less information and power transmission (SWIPT) systems are two particularly interesting application examples [6].
