Résumé

In order to take a close look at the practical activities that occur through the use of the digital library Gallica, we undertook a micro-ethnography supported by audio-video recordings of users' behaviors on and off screen. Those recordings were subject to discussion through self-confrontation interviews. The data lead us to account for two dimensions: on one hand, the underlying categorization processes and local reasoning implied in actions such as reading, writing, or selecting in Gallica; on the other hand, the ecological dimension insofar as Gallica is treated as a resource interrelated to other resources derived from digital, physical and social environments.
